Wildcats ROAR Board Winners

Submitted by arlene.haymond on

When students earn 10 Wildcat Cash (Respectful, Obey Rules, Appreciate, Responsible), they may exchange it for a token to use in our token tower, or write their name on the ROAR board. This month every student on the board received a special water bottle.  We are so proud of students that earn Wildcat Cash!

Westside Wildcats Heroes of the Week

Submitted by arlene.haymond on

Our Westside Wildcats Heroes of the Week are: Tammi Ashcroft, Terri Hjorth, Kristy King, Michelle Mesinar, and Joyce Reesee! They are our Title 1 technicians. The main role of the Title 1 technicians at Westside is to provide support to teachers and students. In the younger grades, the teachers assign the technicians small groups of students to work with who need extra help in either math or reading.

Loveland Living Planet Aquarium Visit With Mrs. Haymond's Class

Submitted by arlene.haymond on

The Aquarium's presentation reinforced science objectives to introduce concepts about tropical rainforests. Students “traveled” across continents identified locations of tropical rainforests, observed live animals, and connected their ideas with evidence to make conclusions about how the animals survive in this vital ecosystem.

Loveland Aquarium Visit With Mrs. Harrison's Class

Submitted by arlene.haymond on

Second grade was treated to a Rain Forest presentation by the Loveland Aquarium! We learned about continents where Rain Forests exist, as well as about several creatures that live there. It was great, although not everyone wanted to touch the creatures. Mrs. Harrison's class is shown in this post.
