Springville Library Visit for Teens

Submitted by arlene.haymond on
Westside's 6th graders had the opportunity to walk to the Springville library for a tour of the teen library. They were shown all of the great teen activities available during the summer. After the library tour they went across the street to the park and ate lunch. It was beautiful weather and they enjoyed the day. Thank you Springville Library for having us and being so welcoming!

Second Grade Experts

Submitted by arlene.haymond on

Mrs.Haymond's students choose a topic and did research on it. After researching, they each made a poster and presented it to the class, along with their report. The kids took notes during the presentations and came up with excellent questions to ask the experts. As you can see from the pictures, they took it quite seriously and learned a lot!

Who Inspires You?

Submitted by arlene.haymond on

For a writing assignment Ms. Webster's class was asked to write a letter to a teacher or staff member who has inspires them or who has impacted their life. Several of the students chose to write a letter to one of our wonderful fifth grade-teachers, Mrs. Herrmann. We are very blessed to have her here at Westside!
