First Grade at the Library
4th Grade DLI are great scientist! They are learning all about the water cycle. They will have a display outside our classroom, come visit!
Jeremiah Hirschi shared the fruits of his Eagle Scout Project with Westside. He set a goal of collecting 100 books to donate to classrooms and far exceeded it by collecting 1600 plus books. Thanks to Jeremiah, his, family, and those who donated time, money and books. Way to go!!!!!
Thanksgiving Point Science Outreach visited our third grade classrooms this week. The third graders made scientific observations, took notes, and planted tulips in the planter box in front of Westside. #thanksgivingpoint #scienceoutreach #thirdgradeisthebestgrade
On September 12, our sixth grade classes were privileged to have employees from US Synthetic share a problem solving lesson as volunteers with the United Way Day of Caring. As part of the lesson they were charged with the task of building, in five minutes time, a 30 inch tall tower using one pack of 3” x 5” cards. It had to be able to support another pack of cards placed on top. The students had a great STEM experience! Thank you US Synthetic and United Way!
