Spanish Speaking Authors Visit

Submitted by arlene.haymond on
Spanish speaking authors Maricela Loaeza, Paz and Rosario visited our school on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2019. Mrs. Loaeza is the author of “Pececito”. Pececito is a book about a boy and a fish who converse about their  lives and how important the environment is to each of them. It is a book that leaves you caring more about the environment we live in. It is written in English and Spanish. The author was able to give a few copies to students and teachers during her visit.   For many students  this was the first time meeting a Spanish speaking author.

My name is Kimmie Monson, I am a School Psychologist Intern here at Westside and Meadow Brook.  I’m from Cedar City, Utah and I’m getting my degree at BYU. Currently, my husband and I live in Orem, but we’re building a new house by the new Spanish Fork Hospital.  I love helping students have better experiences at school and I’m very passionate about Social and Emotional Learning. In my free time I love being active and watching horror movies.  I’m really excited to be here and to get to know everyone!!
