Mountain Man Visit
The fourth grade had a special guest last week! Mountain Man Scott Sorensen came. Students had a great time learning about how mountain men live, as well as learning about famous mountain men from Utah history.

Last week we had a “llama fun” celebrating the teachers who have been part of the mentor program at Westside this year. Our very own, Mrs. Knowles, made the amazing llama cake!
To help students review all that they learned in math this year, Mrs. Lane decided to make it engaging and fun! They used black lights, highlighters and secret decoder pens to do all of their work!

Only 4 more Spirit Days until the end of the year!Our Administrative Professionals are instrumental in making our school function so well. There are not enough words to describe how well they do their jobs. They are loved and respected by children and adults. We have the best of the best! Ms. Harrison's second grade class practiced partitioning by cutting brownies into equal pieces. Cutting the brownies made it easy to compare the sizes of halves, thirds, and fourths.

Our PTA has outdone themselves again this year! Our lunchroom is "Out of this World!" They provided all teachers and staff with a delicious breakfast on Monday. On Tuesday we had a "Relaxation Room" that was the perfect place to "Relax and Unwind Amounglst the Stars."
