STEM Fest Field Trip

Submitted by lindsey.smith on

This week the sixth grade kids went on a field trip to STEM Fest, an annual event held to encourage kids to be interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. The sixth graders walked around the exhibit halls at the South Towne Expo Center and explored booths where they were able to participate in STEM activities. They played with robots, learned about CPR, felt electrical current travel, demo-ed computer programs, and tried virtual reality. With STEM careers being so prevalent today and in the future, it was great for kids to see applications of what they learn in school!
