School Meals Update

Submitted by arlene.haymond on

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) waiver that provided free meals to students is expiring at the end of the school year in June 2022.

This means that school meals will no longer automatically be free for everyone and you will need to submit an application to qualify for free/reduced price breakfast and lunch.

Meal applications for the 2022-2023 school year will be available mid-July 1st.

See the attached documents for more information.

Fourth Grade Pioneer Day

Submitted by arlene.haymond on

On Thursday, May 19, fourth graders enjoyed taking a step back in time at our pioneer day. We trekked to the Civic Center park for a day of games and past times enjoyed by the pioneers. Students learned to sew buttons, made rag dolls, hammered nails into wood, made buzz saw toys, and listened to tall tales, along with many other fun activities. They ended the day by trekking back to school for treats, dancing, and a championship stick pull off.

Students had a lot of fun living like pioneers for the day.

Victory Bell Celebrations

Submitted by arlene.haymond on

We have a Victory Bell in our office. When students meet or exceed a reading goal that they have set, they have a little celebration in the office with Ms. Nielson, teachers, and others in the office.  Here are some of our fifth grade students celebrating their achievements at meeting or exceeding their Acadience reading goals through hard work this year!  Our fifth graders celebrated significant growth in meeting their goals. Congratulations to all!
