Kindergarten Students Begin School
On August 29th, kindergarteners at Westside were excited to finally begin school!
Country Reports
Students in Mrs.Blair's sixth grade class displayed their country reports for students in their class.
First Grade Program
On Tuesday, May 21st, the first grade performed their program for parents and students at Westside.
Opera Stars Visit Westside
On May 1st, students at Westside were privileged to witness a performance from the Utah Opera Company. The program called "Who Wants to be an Opera Star?" is an introduction to opera:the art form that combines drama, visual art,dance, orchestral music, and singing.Operas use words, action and musicto tell stories full of conflict and emotion,and they are usually entirely sung.
Sixth Grade Hershey Track Meet
On April 16th, Westside sixth grade students participated in the annual Hershey Track meet at Springville High School.
African Drum Assembly
Recently, students at Westside were treated to an African Drum performance.
Dual Immersion Program
Recently, classes in the Dual Immersion program in grades K-3 participated in a joint performance. A variety of songs and cultural dances were performed for the enjoyment of all.
5th Grade Program
Last month, Westside fifth graders performed their program for the parents and other students at Westside. The theme of the program revolved around important culture and events throughout the decades in the United States. Students dressed in clothing fitting any of the decades from the early 1900's on through the year 2000.
Sixth Grade visits Springville Junior High School
Sixth grade students recently visited the local junior high school for a brief orientation. Not only did the students get to meet the administration there, but were able to take a tour of the school and eat school lunch.
