Sixth graders were privileged to participate in a virtual, interactive field trip from Thanksgiving Point. They were taught design and engineering principles. It was so great to participate in a great, sponsored activity without leaving our school. Thank you, Thanksgiving Point!

First grade had a “At school” fieldtrip with Ogden Nature Center. The students loved all the things they saw and learned.

The PTA is celebrating White Ribbon Week at Westside Elementary. White Ribbon Week is designed to help children learn to make safe and smart choices when using media and technology. Today’s message is “I will swap media time for a real-life experience each day”.
After the first week of March, we are a little over a fourth of the way to our goal of 200,000 minutes. Keep reading and entering minutes on rtsutah.com. If we reach 100,000 minutes by March 15, everyone gets DOUBLE RECESS!!!
Mrs. Allred’s kindergarten class were our Spirit Day winners on Friday, March 5. They had everyone in their class wear school colors or dress up for Dr. Seuss day. Way to go!
Mrs. Herrmann's class played Jenga for math by adding and subtracting decimals. The students had fun and hardly any knocked down.
Mrs. Wafford's class took the read-a-thon very seriously.
Ryker Cook and his sister have been actively reading in Dr. Seuss manner! Bingo blackout here they come!
