The 6th graders were given the opportunity to go to Springville Jr High and learn about registration for 7th grade. They watched performances from the band, orchestra, choir and drama departments, and then they were given tours of the school. Last, they were given cookies before heading back to Westside.
Mrs Maguet’s class used different materials to create leprechaun traps. They worked with a partner and came up with very creative traps.

Keep logging your minutes on RTS! We want to meet our goal!
Mrs. Crozier's class worked on a directed drawing of leprechauns. The kids loved it!

Congratulations to Westside Elementary, in Nebo School District, and their school PR person, Arlene Haymond, for earning the Nebo #Hashtag Award. This award is given to the school that communicates to their parents and students, in a variety of ways, the events and important news items happening at school. Ms. Haymond has posted over 30 stories a month. The school also has over 130 percent of their student enrollment connected on social media to get the latest news from the school.
Congratulations to our own Nebo School District Nebo Hero! Mrs. Arroyo was recognized in the District Nebo News for March. She was nominated by one of our parents. This is what she wrote:
White Ribbon Werk has been a great experience. Students learned valuable lessons on internet safety. Our PTA did an excellent job of making the week fun and educational.
