Dustin Crandall Receives Award

This year's classified employee Crystal Apple Award was presented to Dustin Crandall.  Dustin is part of the custodial staff at Westside Elementary, and has been for several years.  He is always smiling and willing to help anyone in need.  David Swenson, head custodian at the school had this to say about Dustin, also known as 'Big D': 

"Big D is always kind and considerate to the students, teachers and parents he sees in the hallways, and is always willing to help with anything they may need.  He can be found pumping up a student's flat bike tire, or carrying a teacher's heavy box of books upstairs.  He also has been seen helping a parent in the parking lot with a dead battery.  I know Big D is concerned about Westside Elementary because he will do a weekend drive through to make sure that the school is safe and call me with any concerns."
