Community Building in the Cafeteria

Attributions:

At Westside, our older students take turns serving in the cafeteria. The younger students enjoy seeing older siblings, neighbors, and friends in the lunch lines. Most students can't wait to be old enough to help serve during lunchtime. Several other students help keep the tables clean and help young students as needed. Along side of the best Lunch Ladies in the world, our student helpers keep our cafeteria humming with good food, cheerful chatter, and building community in the Cafeteria!

The theme for the PTA fundraiser this year is "Hear Us Roar!" The primary focus of this fundraiser is to increase school spirit and school pride. The PTA will use the money raised for programs like Watch DOGS and Parents & Pastries as well as replacing the PA system in the school's gym.

Thank You Fire Fighters

Mrs. Harrison's second graders wrote thank you letters to the Fire Fighters battling the fires in our area.

Mrs. Herrman's fourth grade class also made cards for the Fire Fighters.. They have a special connection with Mrs. Herrmann's parents being evacuated and staying with her.

The fourth graders in Mrs. Lane's class also participated in writing letters to the Fire Fighters.

We all appreciate their hard work and dedication they have provided for our area. Nebo School District delivered the letters and cards directly to the Fire Fighters.
