Valentine's Day Celebrations
On Friday, February 13th, classes around school celebrated Valentine's day. Many students decorated boxes to serve as receptacles for their Valentine cards and treats.

Last week, members of the student council sold and delivered Val-O-Grams to the students at Westside. Students were able to purchase these for 25¢ during their lunch hour .
The sixth grade orchestra recently performed for students and faculty at Westside.

On Friday, January 30th, students and teachers at Westside participated in the faculty vs 6th grade basketball game. The students maintained a close score throughout most of the game, however the teachers prevailed in the end.
Josh Westover, a representative with netSmartz, recently visited the students at Westside. During an assembly for upper and lower grades, he helped give students tips on how to remain safe while using the Internet. NetSmartz is an organization that advocates internet safety awareness for children.
The 100th day of school was recently celebrated at Westside Elementary. Second grade teachers dressed as if they were 100 years old to make the day even a little bit more special.
