United Way Day of Caring

Submitted by arlene.haymond on

On September 12, our sixth grade classes were privileged to have employees from US Synthetic share a problem solving lesson as volunteers with the United Way Day of Caring. As part of the lesson they were charged with the task of building, in five minutes time, a 30 inch tall tower using one pack of 3” x 5” cards. It had to be able to support another pack of cards placed on top. The students had a great STEM experience! Thank you US Synthetic and United Way!

Remembering "9-11"

Submitted by arlene.haymond on
Our 4th grade DLI class listened to 14 cows for America in Spanish. This is a beautiful book! “This New York Times best seller recounts the true story from Wilson Kimeli Naiyomah of a touching gift bestowed on the United States by a tribe of Maasai Warriors in the wake of the September 11th attacks.
