Mrs. Jarvis, a teacher at Westside for the last several years, is now a literacy coach at Westside. Recently, Mrs. Jarvis visited classrooms in the upper grades to teach them about important reading strategies.

On Tuesday, May 21st, the first grade performed their program for parents and students at Westside.
On May 1st, students at Westside were privileged to witness a performance from the Utah Opera Company. The program called "Who Wants to be an Opera Star?" is an introduction to opera:the art form that combines drama, visual art,dance, orchestral music, and singing.Operas use words, action and musicto tell stories full of conflict and emotion,and they are usually entirely sung.
On April 16th, Westside sixth grade students participated in the annual Hershey Track meet at Springville High School.
Recently, students at Westside were treated to an African Drum performance.
