In honor of Presidents Day, there will not be school on February 21, 2022.

Westside was buzzing with excitement about Valentine's Day!  Math, reading, writing, social studies, and parties focused on Valentine's Day.  The faculty had a delicious waffle lunch provided by Ms. Nielson, and Ms. Arroyo.  

Mrs. Bate's classes had a great day celebration being in school for 100 days!

Our fabulous Counselor, Mr. B, is legendary at Westside! He visits classes and gives students empowerment lessons, and ways to deal with problems. He interacts with students at lunch and recess. Mr. B is always available to confer with teachers as well.  Mr. B is aware of students' needs and concerns. He calmly works with students while building relationships of trust.  Mr. B loves every student at the school.

Sra. Salmeron's third Grade DLI Blue Class were the Spirit Day Winners last week!

Our Kindness Squad will be selling Val-O-Grams Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of next week  (Feb 9 - 11) during lunch time. They will be 25 cents each. Each will come with a little card and a candy.   

Our Kindergarten 100 Day Celebration is on February 4. We can't wait to see them! There are a lot of fun activities planned!

We celebrated the 100th Day of school with a variety of activities: dressing up like a 100 year old, 100 math, writing about 100 things,  snacks, and more!

Our UPS delivery men have been very busy every day this week!  Teachers were awarded money through the State Board of Education and DonorsChoose and could purchase items that are needed for our students.
