Looking Back at December

Submitted by arlene.haymond on
The Westside faculty enjoyed yummy food, fun games, and wonderful
prizes during the annual Christmas party. It looked a little different
this year due to masks and social distancing, but it was definitely
memorable and entertaining!

Grinch: Guilty or Not?

Submitted by arlene.haymond on

Ms. Price's class put the Grinch on trial for his crimes. Each class member played a different role for the trial and they held a mock trial. Opening statements were made, evidence was presented, witnesses were called, and closing arguments were made. The jury deliberated for ten minutes and came back with a guilty verdict.

Grow the Grinch Heart Inch by Inch Challenge

Submitted by arlene.haymond on

In December, Mrs. Haymond's remote second graders took on a challenge to grow the Grinch heart inch by inch. They helped it grow by doing kind things for their families. Students kept an eye on their progress on their Canvas Class Homepage and recorded their "Random Acts of Christmas  Kindess." Here are a few of the comments from their Discussion Page.
