Last week, one of our younger students had glasses on in the playground. Somehow one of the lenses fell out into the woodchips. Some of our student council members were outside at the time, and decided to help look for the lens. If you know how many woodchips are on the playground, you know that it was a major undertaking to go through them to find the lens. These amazing kids found the missing lens and returned it to the student. What great examples of kindness and perseverance these students exemplified. Thank you for being positive role models for all of us.

6th graders used their knowledge of insulators to attempt to insulate ice cream sandwiches in pencil boxes. These stayed outside of the freezer for 3 hours in the insulated boxes. Sadly, none of the groups reached success as each were mushy after 3 hours, but it was a great STEM learning experience.
6th graders have discovered that cold water is more dense than warm water proven by this experiment showing that cold water sinks and warm water rises to the top.
