When the weather is bad and students can’t go outside for recess, they still need an opportunity to take a break and be active. Mrs. Crook’s class plays Scatter in the vestibule. Using a soft ball, students try to tag each other with the ball. When they are tagged, the student has to sit or kneel down but can continue to play by reaching for the ball and trying to get other students out. The winner is the last person left standing. The students LOVE this game as an alternative to going outside.
