McKay Hatch started the "No Cussing Club," at the age of 14, while living in California. He was tired of hearing the cussing that was taking place around him and knew his schoolmates could do better. Since then he has traveled around the United States and shared his story. You can learn more about the "No Cussing Club" on his web-site. http://www.nocussing.com/aboutncc.html

White Ribbon Week - Making a Difference

Submitted by lindsey.smith on

Just before Spring Break, Westside held a White Ribbon Week to help kids become more aware of the ways that they use technology. In conjunction with that, we were able to host an assembly by McKay Hatch, who started the "No Cussing Club" at the age of 14 while living in California. He was tired of hearing the cussing that was taking place around him and knew his schoolmates could do better. He talked with the students about the importance that one person can make when they stand up for what they believe in.
