Making Pinatas in DLI First Grade
First grade Dual Immersion finished their Spanish Literacy unit by making some piñatas to go along with a Birthday story. They learned a song sung in Mexico when a kid swings to hit the piñata.

Everyone welcome!
After School Clubs
"The Scarecrow" by Beth Ferry and The Fan Brothers
These second graders read a tender and affectionate tale that reminded them of the comforting power of friendship, and the joy of helping others.
The story sparked them to be creative using math, science, procedural writing, drama, and art. After drawing, measuring, and writing their procedures, they made a nest for a baby crow (a character in the story). They figured out how to make it 3-D and added a baby crow so they could hang them on the wall.
3D Printer Through Donors Choose
Mrs. Crook has a 3D printer in her classroom! She submitted a Donors Choose project for a 3D printer and filament and when the project was funded, it was delivered to the school. After getting it set up and learning how to use it, she and her class have been printing a variety of cool projects such as baby Groot, a tug boat, ghost bookmarks, Halloween spiders and a cute pig. Everyone is loving it! Technology is truly fascinating!
Cosmo and the BYU Dunk Team
We invited the BYU Mascot, Cosmo, and the BYU Dunk Team as a citizenship reward assembly for our students for the first term. In addition to being thrilling to watch, they taught us to be mentally strong, physically strong, and socially strong. It's an assembly that won't be soon forgotten!
Veteran Bus Drivers
Our bus drivers came dressed in their military attire. We love and appreciate them for their service to our country and school.
