Our Westside fifth graders performed a touching patriotic program honoring Veterans. We had Veterans from almost every branch in the military visit. Our bus drivers came dressed in their military attire. We love and appreciate them for their service to our country and school.
Ms. Price's class has been learning about atoms, molecules, and compounds. Here they are building different ones. They had a fun time with this hands-on activity!
Mrs. Lane's class enjoyed going to hear the Utah Symphony.
Fourth grade had the opportunity to listen to Swan Lake, the Sound of Music, and Harry Porter among other fun pieces that the Utah Symphony played for us. What a wonderful opportunity to listen to the professionals!
Mrs. Herrmann's class learned how to make sugar skull art with construction paper crayons for Day of the Dead.

Our Veterans Day program is on Nov 11. We invite any family members or friends who have served, or are currently serving, in the military to come to the assemblies to be honored. They can come to either performance. (9:30 or 1:30). Please help spread the word.
Sra. Jackson's students celebrated Día de los Muertos one day early this year. Día de los Muertos is a time to remember loved ones who have passed on.
First Grade Dual Immersion celebrated Día de los Muertos with a delicious Day of the Dead bread, some reading and videos that teach about this Mexican tradition.
