Our very own Mr. Scoubes was featured in the Fab40 issue of Utah Valley Magazine! Go Skyhawks!

Sophomore Navy Hubbs has been dominating the competition in Region 7 golf this year. She has won all five of her region matches and is one of the top players in the state. Today she shot a school record 65 (7 under) at Timpanogos Golf Club. She is a phenomenal student athlete.

Congratulations to our girls golf team for winning the region match at Timpanogos today, April 21st! This is their first win of the season. Several girls came through with personal bests. Go Skyhawks!

Jay Steed sets school record at 13'6"! Go Skyhawks!

Meet one of our awesome World Language teachers and debate coach, Doug Welton! We love having him at SHHS!

Congratulations to our students of the week!
Rachel Turner: Rachel was paramount in wining grounders, playing great defense and scoring 7 goals this past week. In addition to her 7 goals, she won 5 ground balls, caused 3 turnovers in two wins over top 6A schools. The team is now 11-1 and ranked 2nd in 5A.
Tracen Karrasch: Tracen has shown great mindset and focus during this past week. He is a great leader and has shown an increasingly positive mindset in his matches!
Kade Moser: Kade is a senior captain this year and leads the team in takeaways and ground balls and he leads by example and intensity. Kade has played a big role this year in being a Commander on the field and setting a new bar for the expectation of defenders here at Salem Hills.
Harrison Egbert: Harry came in clutch this weekend as we went up against Herriman and Davis in our tournament. His timely blocks and smart kills led us to victory. He is positive on and off the court and we are lucky to have him as a Skyhawk.
Aaron Sorenson: Aaron is very knowledgeable and loves to be involved wherever possible. He has already worked crew for some of the biggest shows at SHHS, but you probably haven't noticed since he works quietly behind the scenes to ensure our shows are ready and run smoothly.

Join us in congratulating Leah Ford! She was selected as the State Sterling Scholar winner in Business and Marketing last night at the KSL awards ceremony! Go Skyhawks!

As part of the "Great ShakeOut", SHHS will be holding an Earthquake drill, tomorrow, Friday, April 18th right after 2nd period announcements. This drill provides an important opportunity for student and staff to practice our emergency procedures and ensure we are prepared in the event of a real emergency.

Meet, Rachel White, one of our amazing counselors! We love having Mrs. White at SHHS!

Congratulations to our students of the week!
Dom Jex- Baseball: Dom has 4 for 9 with 4 RBI's for the past week with 1 win on the mound.
Camryn Guest- Softball: Camryn is batting .700 through the past 6 games with 6 stolen bases and 12 runs.
Colin Torgersen-Soccer: Colin is our senior left back. His steady play, work rate, and mental toughness under game pressure make him one of our best overall players. He's an outstanding defender and an impressive attacking player, creating chances on crosses and through his own attacking play. He defends, assists, and scores. Colin is also one of the most coachable players in our program. He always shows up early, does his job at a high level, and helps those around him play better.
Rowan Beaty-Choir: Rowan is an outstanding member of Concert Choir and someone who truly exemplifies what it means to be part of the choral community at Salem Hills. She is constantly striving to improve—taking thoughtful notes in rehearsal, asking clarifying questions, and putting in extra time outside of class to ensure she never falls behind. Rowan’s dedication, work ethic, and love for music make her a valued leader and role model among her peers. She will be deeply missed when she graduates at the end of this year.

Miles Asay: Miles is a dedicated Unified partner who has made a powerful commitment—not just to play on the Unified team, but to be a consistent support system for everyone involved. He goes beyond the game, showing up with encouragement, positivity, and genuine care for his teammates. Whether it’s helping someone during practice, cheering the loudest from the sidelines, or creating a welcoming space for everyone, Miles leads with heart. His presence has become a cornerstone of the team, and his impact is felt far beyond the scoreboard.
Bella Staheli: Bella qualified for state in the long jump. She is a fierce competitor, who puts in the work every day.
Sebastian Zavala: Sebastian reminds me of Rudy Ruger, a ton of heart and always looking for ways to improve his game as he learns from his teammates. He doesn't get the most playing time and his attitude is always happy and positive. He is a great kid on and off the court.
DaKoda Wentz: Koda Wentz is a dedicated musician who refuses to let a late start hold her back. Her relentless drive for improvement sets her apart, and she leads by example, pushing herself and those around her to be their best. She cares deeply for her peers, always supporting their growth and success. Everything she embodies reflects the goals of our Band Program.
