It’s time to celebrate our local school nutrition staff who are currently on the frontlines feeding our school communities- This Friday is School Lunch Hero Day!
School nutrition staff strive to make #lunchtime the #favorite part of every student’s day. From their friendly greetings in the cafeteria and the love they dish out with every student’s meal, to how they encourage kids to eat more #fruits and #vegetables, our #school nutrition professionals are truly #heroes.
Dalis Neel was the winner of our school, "Water Conservation Poster Contest." Her poster went on to be a state winner and will be used on the state conservation calendar. She was the recipient of $100 and $150 was awarded to Westside Elementary. Way to go Dalis!

Our PTA surprised us with this sign. A special family also made the cup art. We feel so fortunate to have such a supportive community during the school dismissal.
It was a different celebration during the school dismissal this year.
Some of our students working on their classes at home. We are proud of how hard our students are working. They are learning every day!
Our lunch ladies have come through and gone above and beyond during the school dismissal. They offer breakfasts and lunch. They have braved the cold weather, rain, snow, and keep on going. Some of our parents gave them a little parade to thank them for all they do.

Dear Wildcats,
We were heartbroken that we had to cancel our neighborhood parade, so we have some special messages for you throughout the day today!
We love and miss you so much and we want you to know you are loved! ❤️

Dear Parents/Guardians:
As you may have heard, Governor Herbert and State Superintendent Sydnee Dickson have extended the “soft school closure” until the end of the school year. Although we are disappointed that we will not be able to work with students in our usual manner, we understand why the decision was made and fully support them. That being said, we now will need to address a variety of very unique situations.
