Second Graders at the Butterfly Biosphere in Thanksgiving Point

Submitted by arlene.haymond on

We went in to the butterfly biosphere and learned about habitats. We were able to see lots of different habitats for different insects. The kids also got hold a huge cockroach!  As Utah’s only butterfly conservatory and insectarium, the Butterfly Biosphere at Thanksgiving Point was a great experience. We saw the Beverly Taylor Sorenson Butterfly Conservatory, where over a thousand live butterflies from around the world.  It was a fun day of learning and being on a field trip again!

MONDAY

“I will swap media time for a real-life experience each day”

Discussion: Discuss with your child that the idea that spending excessive time in the virtual world (screen time) impairs our ability to interact well with others and enjoy daily life. Keeping a balance between technology and real life helps life become more meaningful and happy.
